I saw this in the lot at work when leaving today. First thought was whatever handicap this person has, it sure isn’t keeping them from owning a fun car. (awesome) Next - is 662hp not enough for a daily driver that it has to get the tuning treatment? 305-section Nittos in back to boot.

You know why you take a car that makes 662 hp and add more power to it? Because it can be done.

I think that’s a pre-refresh GT500

Didn't they have like 550hp?

According to Shelby American Inc. only 1000hp is acceptable.

That one looks to be a 2010-2012 MY, so it would’ve had “only” 540-550 HP to start with.

One of the teachers at my school has a handicap parking permit, but she drives a stick shift Miata that looks exactly like this.

Oh... well... only 550hp - how does one get by with that? smf

I get the tuner thing, but when you’re starting with 500+ hp what’s the point?

Horsepower is like Cocaine: The more you have, the more you need.

Enough? I don’t like what you’re insinuating.

When I first started driving performance cars, I was wondering what would scare me in terms of power, and I haven’t been scared yet. In the corners, that’s a different story; in fact, I have far more fun in low horsepower cars when it comes to really tight and technical roads, but IMO it’s hard to scare yourself with straight line speed even with 500+ hp. The quickest thing I’ve driven is an SLS and that was a great amount of power, but I could see handling more and why people would want more. Some people just want to scare themselves with a press of the go pedal, and I might be one of those people...

Does it still spin the tires at the end of the back straight?
